French Horn Sales

 

I have researched and found what I believe to be the very best student and professional horns on the market. Having taught French Horn for 30 years I am continuously frustrated by the expense of student horns and the less than acceptable quality available. 

 

This is about getting students the best quality at the best price.

 

Like most student and professional horn brands today, Briz French Horns are made in China , these are quality horns at an affordable price. I have tested them over a long period with my own students and had them checked by a repairer for quality and find these are the best available.

 

When buying a French Horn I believe it's very hard to go past Yamaha, the quality is great and consistency is excellent but with that comes a much higher price.  The Briz horns match that quality and consistency but at a more affordable price.

 

These Briz horns are well made, all come with a screw off bell and a solid backpack case. The intonation is excellent and response is great. There are a range available, at the moment I will be selling those which I have tested and as I test others I will make them also available.

BRIZ - Single F - French Horn

 

This horn is very light weight but solid construction. Has a beautiful tone and responds perfectly. I prefer to start students on a single F and this horn I believe is a perfect horn for beginners. I currently have loaned one to a nine year old beginner and she is progressing extremely well and experiencing no problems with valves and the tone she can play with is superb. It has string valves, again I prefer this, and it has a detachable bell. Having a detachable bell means she can carry it like a backpack and it is very compact. I love this instrument and the quality is excellent. I would rate it alongside the Yamaha single, it is slightly smaller and feels lighter but solid. The cost is about half that of the Yamaha equivalent.

 In order to better control the quality, BRIZ horn all the parts are the company's own production process, including the light weight, mouthpipe, diacritical tubes, pistons, piston jacket, pipe and nozzle spout and the like. All workers thoughougly check the body and especially the large number of French horn mouth attire are in strict accordance with the drawings finishing machining center made ​​by the effective control of the BRIZ precise dimensions of the various components of the horn to ensure BRIZ horn pure sound, intonation accurate, bright timbre loose, soft thick.

Briz - Full Double Bb/F - French Horn (Geyer Wrap)

 

This horn, again is beautiful well constructed instrument and produces a full resonant sound. I find it very easy to play and feels great to hold. I like the Geyer wrap as it is an instrument which is free blowing and allows the player the ability to play with a beautiful sweet tone or give it a good brassy edge if needed. The valves are again string and very well made. The instrument is of a high quality with a feeling that care and pride is taken in the preperation of this horn.  Comes with a detachable bell in a solid back pack style case whcih can be easily placed in the overhead compartments in planes. I really love playing this instrument as it responds well and feels equal in tonal control over the whole range.

 

The pricnciple horn of LSO Timothy Jones said ,BRIZ2000 is a perfect horn, his comments about the Briz 2000,  "it is easy to play and easy to control". The principle horn of Macau play BRIZ2000 and it is a popular instrument within the  Chinese professional horn playing community.
